The Ebay Inc. corporate network has been hacked by unknown hackers. They gained access to the user database containing some personal information, phone numbers, passwords, email addresses and other information which is not directly related to the financial actions.

«Cyberattackers compromised a small number of employee log-in credentials, allowing unauthorized access to eBay's corporate network,» the company said. Information about the methods of hacking the employee personal data is confidential. Probably, the database was compromised in March, but Ebay staff noticed it just a few weeks ago.

In general, there are no signs of suspicious activities with personal accounts of Ebay users. Still, Ebay representatives advise all users to change their passwords. Of course, these actions are preemtive security cases, but it is really important. Ebay apologizes to its users and promises to take all necessary measures to normalize the situation.
